History of The Cheese Steak:

The Cheesesteak has been around since the early 1930's. Pat's King of Steaks was the original Philly Cheesesteak Shop located close to the Italian Market in South Philly. By the 50's Cheese-Wiz was added to the sandwich making it a truly a unique concept. Philly lore has the roll being the most important ingredient in a Cheesesteak, and most of these rolls are made by the Amoroso Baking Company in Philidelphia. There are variations, but the true Philly Cheesesteak is a delicacy that must be tried.
